New CMAC Special Topics Course: Intro to Neuroscience, Physics of Perception and Interactive Computation via Art

Intro to Neuroscience-Computational Art

Beginning in Fall 2021, CMAC is offering a new Special Topics course:  Intro to Neuroscience, Physics of Perception and Interactive Computation via Art. The course, which is open to undergraduate and graduate students, will explore the intersection of art and science in fields such as neuroscience, computational neuroscience, and cybernetics.
Students will have the opportunity design a work of art of their choice inspired by the science covered in the course.  This could be through drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, dance work, intermedia work, computational media, music, bio-art, or other suggested forms.  Whatever the artistic expression, students will come away a new sense of how science and art can influence and inform one another.

CMAC 590S is currently open for enrollment for Fall 2021.
